1.- Con el siguiente texto, elabore un afiche extrayendo 5 temas que hayan representado un aspecto de contexto mundial con lo realizado por Mons. Leónidas Proaño, en beneficio de su pueblo. (Use alguna técnica sobre afiches)

Leonidas Eduardo Proaño Villalba (San Antonio de Ibarra, Imbabura, 1910 - Quito, 1988), sacerdote y teólogo ecuatoriano, obispo de Riobamba (1954-1985), candidato al premio Nobel de la paz​ y considerado uno de los representantes más destacados en Ecuador de la teología de la liberación.

Fue ordenado sacerdote en 1936 y pronto se interesó por las tendencias más adelantadas en la doctrina social de la Iglesia Católica. Dentro de la diócesis de Ibarra creó la Juventud Obrera Cristiana y posteriormente fue nombrado obispo de Riobamba en 1954.

Desde su cátedra riobambeña luchó constantemente por introducir la justicia social en las relaciones con los indígenas, para promover su acceso a la vida pública y al poder político -fue entonces que empezó a ser conocido como «el obispo de los indios»- y adoptó con entusiasmo las tesis de la teología de la liberación. En 1960 creó las Escuelas Radiofónicas Populares, con un claro objetivo educador. En 1962 creó el Centro de Estudios y Acción Social para ayudar al desarrollo de las comunidades indígenas. Participó en el Concilio Vaticano II.

En 1960 fue elegido delegado sustituto ante el Consejo Episcopal Latinoamericano CELAM, y posteriormente fue titular. Luego de un tiempo es elegido Presidente del Departamento de Pastoral de Conjunto del CELAM y en calidad de tal es responsable de la creación del Instituto Itinerante de Pastoral de América Latina IPLA.

En 1973 fue acusado de guerrillero y se tuvo que presentar en Roma, pero fue absuelto de todas las acusaciones, aunque en 1976 fue encarcelado durante la dictadura de Guillermo Rodríguez Lara. En 1985 renunció al obispado por tener 75 años -edad por la que todo obispo católico tiene que enviar una carta de renuncia a la Santa Sede- y fue nombrado presidente de la Pastoral Indígena.

El 29 de mayo de 1988 inaugura el Centro de Formación de Misioneras Indígenas del Ecuador, en la comunidad de Pucahuaico, San Antonio de Ibarra, para el apoyo e investigación de las culturas indígenas y la formación de misioneras indígenas.

El 12 de agosto de 1988 crea la Fundación Pueblo Indio del Ecuador.

El 26 de octubre de 1987 recibió el “Doctorado Honoris Causa” en Filosofía, dado por la Universidad de Saarbrucken, Saarland, Alemania.

El 7 de julio de 1988 recibió el Premio Bruno Kreisky, Austria, por la defensa de los derechos humanos.

En agosto de 1988 recibió el “Doctor Honoris Causa” otorgado por la Escuela Politécnica Nacional, en Quito.

En 2008 el Pleno de la Asamblea Consituyente de Ecuador declaró al Obispo de los Indios y de los Pobres, Monseñor Leonidas Proaño Villalba, como personaje símbolo nacional y ejemplo permanente para todas las generaciones, por su lucha contra la opresión, la exclusión y la marginalidad en el Ecuador y por total entrega a un trabajo en búsqueda de libertad, de justicia y de solidaridad como condiciones de la paz.
